In the beginning of the semester, I had no idea what a signal phrase was. My go-to for “introducing” a quote was to just try and make the non-quote part of the sentence flow with the quote so it would be a functional sentence. I had been doing that for so many years and then signal phrases are that same concept but you can add in different complexities! I really tried my best with signal phrases but I’m not sure I completely get them so I will definitely need more practice. In the end, I used one block quote which I was very excited about because I had never known how to use one before! Finally, I think I did the MLA works cited page correctly, but I’m not exactly sure what a hanging indent is still.
